Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week

At the chapter meeting in July, our special guests were three breastfeeding mothers and their babies.   Each mom shared her thoughts on breastfeeding, and a reporter covered the event. An article with beautiful pictures was printed in both the Las Cruces Sun-News and also the August edition of the Healthy U magazine. Here is the link to the Healthy U article.  (It might soon be taken down, but here's a link to the article without the pictures.)                                                                                                          July Task Force Meeting On August 2, 2011, we  participated in the local  National Night Out event in  Las Cruces.  It was a very festive occasion involving  representatives  of local businesses, organizations,  and community services.  We were able to meet and support many  breastfeeding families as they  enjoyed  the summer evening at the Downtown Mall.
